command prompt in basic telnet example

I apologize for the silly question. How can I modify the basic telnet example "Implement Your AppServer and AppSession" to display a ">" as the command prompt? I tried the following:
 protected override string ProcessSendingMessage(string rawMessage)
            return rawMessage + Environment.NewLine + ">";
but the user is able to delete the ">".

I cannot understand. Do you mean the client can delete the message it received from server?
